Rápido D’Oeste, a member of the Pró Urbano Consortium, is responsible for a robust urban operation in Ribeirão Preto, offering quality mobility throughout the city, highlighted by:
- Modern and accessible fleet: we have more than 100 buses equipped with air conditioning, pneumatic suspension, Wi-Fi, USB chargers, and automatic lifts, ensuring comfort, safety, and accessibility for all passengers (rapidodoeste.com.br). These are Euro 6 technology vehicles, with low pollutant emissions and a design adapted for people with disabilities, the elderly, and wheelchair users.
- Smart electronic ticketing: the “Cartão NOSSO” electronic ticketing system offers a fast and secure boarding process: simply tap your card, phone, or smartwatch on the turnstile. The system also allows online recharging via apps like RecargaPay and PicPay and offers remote blocking in case of loss.
- Integrated technology and efficient operation: in addition to modernizing the fleet, we operate lines in express corridors that integrate the Integrated Municipal Transport Network (RITMO), now called “Ribeirão Mobility”: there are 56 km of corridors and smart signaling systems, integrating the whole city. An Operational Control Center (CCO) monitors the fleet in real-time via GPS and cameras, ensuring efficiency and safety.
- Scale operation: Rápido D’Oeste shares the responsibility for urban transport jointly with Transcorp, operating around 120 lines with a total fleet of 354 vehicles and constant additions of more units in compliance with contractual requirements.
- Continuous investment and innovation: the consortium recently made significant investments to expand urban infrastructure: new terminals, 500 shelters, brand new buses, monitoring, and total accessibility. Recently, electric buses (Eco Bus) have been incorporated on an experimental basis, reinforcing the commitment to sustainable mobility. Innovation also covers efficient operational management via the Optibus platform, with AI for route and frequency optimization.
